As one of 18 Canadian Port Authorities our mandate is to facilitate trade and economic sustainability on behalf of our community and country. Whether its operating our shipping terminals, attraction new businesses or providing opportunities for youth employment the Port creates significant economic benefits.
The wellbeing of our fellow residents in Port Alberni is important to all of us involved with the Port. Every year the Port provides donations and sponsorships to a number of community groups that share our dedication to improving our community and its people.
From investments in a new kiteboard launch, to Centennial Pier Breakwater, to Tyee Landing, marinas and camping facilities to enhance Port Alberni’s tourist experience the Port makes significant investments that provide broad community benefits.
