Tyee Landing is the newest of the Port Authority’s recreational boating facilities in the heart of the City’s inner harbour area. Tyee Landing & Pier is located on Harbour Road directly adjacent to the north of Fishermen’s Harbour. Tyee Landing is a very short walk from the Harbour Quay waterfront, which is a popular visitor attraction for the beautiful views, shops, galleries, Alberni Aquarium & Stewardship Centre, dining, Lady Rose Marine Services and the Alberni Pacific railway’s historic steam train to McLean Mill National Historic Site

The marina offers 944 lineal feet of moorage space and accommodates daily, weekly, monthly and annual moorage. All vessels have access to hydro and potable water. Moorage reservations are strongly recommended (rates). Tyee Landing Pier is home to Alberni Valley Boat Rentals (website) and fuel services provided by Port Alberni Marine Fuels and Services . Adjacent to Tyee Landing is the Fishermen’s Harbour where there are washrooms, showers, and sani-dump pump out. Tyee Landing also provides easy access to marine services and repairs through Canadian Maritime Engineering located adjacent to Fishermen’s Harbour .

The Port Alberni Port Authority offers Tyee Landing as a central location on the waterfront to host community events as well as interested retail and tour operators. Tyee Landing is home to the Annual Salmon Festival and Derby and the annual Port Day. Since 1960, the Salmon Festival Society has brought together many community organizations to hold this spectacular community event that draws visitors to our community. Famous for the traditional Salmon BBQ Dinner, daily hidden weights, cash prizes, raffles, and entertainment into the night this is a fun event for those out to catch the big fish and those who just want to enjoy the festival.

The Port Alberni Port Authority and Maritime Heritage Society welcome the community and visitors to Tyee Landing and the waterfront to enjoy family activities and entertainment on Port Day a celebration of our community’s working and mixed-use waterfront, arts, culture, heritage. The event includes live entertainment, family activities, tours, fundraisers, and more each year.
