The Port Alberni Port Authority (PAPA) is proud to announce the launch of its new logo and rebranding initiative, the first one since the inception of the Port Alberni Port Authority in 1999.
The new branding reflects PAPA’s vision for the future while honoring its storied past. This milestone marks a significant step in the evolution of our organization, and is more than just a visual update. It’s a reaffirmation of our mission to be an economic driver facilitating maritime trade and commerce while respecting the environment, our community, and port users. The new logo encapsulates our dedication to these values and our forward-looking vision.
The new logo features a striking image of a salmon, symbolizing the interconnectedness of our community and environment. This salmon graphic was commissioned by local artist Tia Dudoward. This symbol is particularly meaningful as it embodies the idea that we are all one and connected, reflecting our commitment to unity and collaboration within our community and beyond.
“We are very excited about our new logo and rebranding for the Port Alberni Port Authority,” said Zoran Knezevic, President and CEO. “This new look brings together our history and vision for the future. Tia’s beautiful artwork represents how we are connected to our waters, land, environment and how we can all work together to develop economic opportunities while respecting our community.“
Over the next few weeks and months, we will start to see the new logo and branding elements rolled out across all our digital platforms, public signage and other physical representations of our brand around the port facilities. We will celebrate the new branding publicly on Port Day Saturday, June 22 from 9-12pm.
We appreciate your support as we transition to our new brand identity and encourage you to share this exciting update with your networks to help us spread the word about the Port Alberni Port Authority’s refreshed look.
