The Port Alberni Port Authority (PAPA) is proud to announce Austin Kuc as the recipient of the 2024 Gillian Trumper Memorial Bursary. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding leadership, a positive attitude, and the ability to motivate and inspire their peers—qualities that are essential to fostering a vibrant and supportive community at the Port.
Austin has shown remarkable leadership and a genuine ability to connect with everyone around him while working at Fisherman’s Harbour, Harbour Quay Marina and the Ice House. His contributions to the PAPA team have been invaluable, and we are happy to recognize his efforts with this bursary.
Austin is currently studying at VIU as he works towards a Degree of Kinesiology. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Austin and look forward to seeing his continued success in pursuing his career goals!
The Port Alberni Port Authority is committed to supporting the next generation of leaders and is honored to offer this bursary in memory of Gillian Trumper, a former PAPA board member. Returning Seasonal Marina and Facilities Attendants are eligible to apply for the Gillian Trumper Memorial Bursary which awards the successful candidate a $3500 Educational Bursary.
